2017—illustration/layout
Collaborative work with Coline Penven and Quentin Duroux.

For this work, we had to explore the history of a revolution through a cartography that couldn’t be bigger than an A2. We worked as a three-person team on the Arab spring, a particular revolution as it concerned a lot of countries. After a thorough research, we chose to keep six countries that were affected by it. The cartography starts in on a small A6 format, like the revolution itself, before unfolding into a big A2 map, visualizing the revolutionary flux. The typography was entirely handwritten, and the illustrations are inspired by the stencil tags on the walls of those countries.
